A Visit from Gigi

A few weekends ago (yes, I'm running really behind at life right now), my mom came to visit Oliver. We had a delicious dinner and did some shopping. Oliver made sure to show her all his new tricks. He loved spending time with his Gigi and looks forward to seeing her again soon!

Jumping Bean

Oliver got a new Johnny Jumper a couple of weeks ago, and he absolutely loves it!

Oliver is 5 Months Old!

Weight: 20 lbs.

Height: 27 1/2 inches

What he's wearing: Size 3 diaper, 9 month clothes

Special tricks: Oliver can now roll from his back to his belly and from his belly to his back. He is mimicking us more and more these days and loves to crack himself up making noises with his hands in his mouth...such a boy!

Eating: Every 4 hours; he is also now eating fruits and veggies several times a day. So far, he has had bananas, applesauce, pears (his favorite!), avocado, squash, sweet potatoes and carrots. He has yet to meet a food he doesn't like!

Sleeping: He eats at 8:00 pm, goes to sleep right after that and sleeps until I wake him up at 6:00 am to eat again. On the weekends, he will usually go back to sleep again until 8:00 or 9:00 am. Mama and Daddy like that!

Activities: Oliver still loves his exersaucer. He also just got a Johnny Jumper and loves to bounce in it!

Oliver is just the happiest, sweetest baby. His Mama and Daddy just love him to pieces.

Happy 29th birthday, Mama!

Oliver is 4 Months Old!

Weight: 18 lbs. 3 oz.

Height: 26 1/2 inches

What he's wearing: Size 3 diaper, 6-9 month clothes

Special tricks: Oliver can now roll over! He started doing it a couple of weeks ago, but he isn't rolling all over the place yet. He also now mimics us when we make noises. One noise, in particular, he can do perfectly. He still loves his hands...they are constantly in his mouth, along with anything else he can get his paws on!

Eating: Every 4 hours; he is also now eating rice cereal or oatmeal twice a day.

Sleeping: He eats at 8:00 pm, goes to sleep right after that and sleeps until I wake him up at 6:00 am to eat again.

Activities: We recently put Oliver in his exersaucer, and he is in love! We have to put blankets around him since he's still a bit unsteady, but he goes nuts! He is quite the mover and shaker these days. Our pediatrician said his gross motor skills are far above average and predicted he will be walking by 9 months...yikes!

It's Grub Time!

We started Oliver on cereal this past week. He may be only 3 1/2 months, but the dude weighs over 18 lbs. Milk just wasn't cutting it anymore! He was not so sure about it at first and only ate about half of what I made.



"What is this stuff, Mom?"

"Hmm...this might be ok after all."

As you can see, he just kept getting messier...

and messier...

and messier! He had to have a bath after this experience.

Ahhh...satisfied and happy!

Our first attempt at solids was a success! I have a feeling we are going to be hard-pressed to find a food that Oliver won't eat!

An Adorable Etsy Find

I found this adorable blanket from Petunias on Etsy, back when Oliver was still known as Baby K 'round these parts. I bookmarked the site and finally got around to having the blanket made. It is chocolate brown satin on one side, green fluffy on the other and lists all his birth stats. I absolutely love how it turned out!
